We are pleased to announce the release of version 2.1.3. The following features are now available in GovBooks.
Labor Distribution without Service Items
You can now create and post the labor distribution in GovBooks without the use of service items. This eliminates the need for service item mapping. However, projects will need to be mapped to general ledger labor accounts in GovBooks. So there is still some mapping involved, but it may be easier than service items. It can also be used with leave tracking systems that do not support service items (QuickBooks Time is one example). For those who prefer to use service items, we still allow the use of service items as an option. Learn more by viewing How to Create and Post the Labor Distribution in GovBooks.
Award Status Reports
We have added Line Items as a filter to the Award Status Reports, which allows you to view profit margin by line item. This may prove valuable if you set up labor categories as line items to their actual profit after the allocation of indirect expenses.
Remapping Reports
When a Customer or Project is reorganized or deleted in QuickBooks Online, it becomes necessary to remap Awards and Line Items in the Awards module. To make this process easier to manage, we have added remapping reports to help identify when remapping is needed.
